Chris had a talk to give at a conference in San Francisco (Photonics West). I couldn't help myself and decided I wanted beef stew from Erik's DeliCafe. Seriously, the WORLD'S BEST beef stew. The walk was about 1/2 down hill. Had a wonderful lunch and Erik had a pickle at his deli ;). Then we wandered around downtown Monterey. We visited the Cooper Museum and the volunteer was very nice. She told me about a park that Erik could run around at. It's not like the Dennis the Menace park, just grass. Erik ran around for a while and then I walked back up hill 0.7ish miles. The streets in Monterey are not straight and don't seem to meet at 90degree angles (at least not in downtown). I swore I was walking towards home the entire time - thank goodness for google maps! :-D
